HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL:

Morning Star Matriculation Higher Secondary School was started in June 1966, in response to the requests of parents who felt the need for a good English Medium School in Choolaimedu locality. Morning Star, named after Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, is an Institution, through which many Doctors, Engineers, Professionals and Officers have passed through.

The School was initially affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. In 1989, we switched over to State Matriculation System to facilitate our students to get admission easily to Degree Courses in Colleges for General Education as well as for Professional Courses like Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary Science etc., In Consonance with the present trends in education, special emphasis is laid on upgradation in Infra-Structure, Methodology of Teaching and also on Co-Curricular activities, since we desire to develop the total personality of each student. The School is recognized by the Director of School Education, Chennai.

The Medium of Instruction is English

English is the Medium of Instruction. Tamil / Hindi are the Second Languages for all classes. We also have French as the second language for Higher Secondary Classes.
